‘Grace’ at manchester cathedral, photographed by katherine gammon

Grace is a photography project that explores strength, vulnerability, and quiet authority through contemporary fashion imagery. Shot on location at Manchester Cathedral, the series uses its architectural setting to stage a dialogue between softness and structure, grounding the editorial in a sense of timelessness and reverence.

Photographer Katherine Gammon shows a strong command of light and composition, using shadow and negative space to shape the atmosphere without overwhelming the subjects. The portraits are closely considered, balancing intimacy with compositional clarity and placing emphasis on texture, tone, and spatial balance.

Costume design, dressmaking, and makeup by Jade Ankers are central to the project. Her work is sculptural yet refined, combining intricate detailing with clean silhouettes that sit naturally within the cathedral setting. The makeup design is purposeful and expressive, reinforcing the emotional depth of the series while remaining consistent across each look.

Models Sarah Angel and Skye Wang deliver poised and assured performances. Their presence brings clarity to the narrative, allowing the garments and setting to interact organically. Together, the team has produced a cohesive editorial that communicates elegance, resilience, and modern femininity with confidence and composure.
