One Day is a carefully constructed fashion photography project that explores ritual, restraint and psychological tension through symbolic staging and disciplined visual language. Photographed by Ruta Jane, the series demonstrates strong technical control across both colour and monochrome imagery. Jane’s use of low, sculptural lighting and deliberate framing creates a sense of intimacy while maintaining compositional clarity. Each image feels intentional, allowing mood and detail to coexist without excess.
Creative direction and wardrobe styling by Jamie Russell provide the conceptual backbone of the project. Russell’s styling is precise and thoughtful, combining structured tailoring with latex, mesh and sculptural accessories. The garments and props introduce narrative ambiguity while remaining cohesive across the series. This balance reinforces the editorial’s tension between vulnerability and control.
Makeup by Bryanna Angel Allen is executed with restraint and precision. The looks enhance bone structure and expression, working in harmony with the lighting rather than competing with it.
