Replica: JONG YI LING

Replica explores identity through repetition, construction, and observation, using the studio environment as both setting and metaphor. Working across multiple roles as model, makeup artist, and creative director, Jong Yi Ling shapes the visual language of the editorial both in front of and behind the camera, creating a conversation between subject and author.

The presence of mannequins, sewing machinery, and layered viewpoints reinforces the idea of the body as something assembled, replicated, and reinterpreted. Photographer Kim supports this direction through controlled framing and perspective, while fashion design by Robin introduces structured silhouettes that echo the theme of reconstruction. Hair styling by Melody completes the restrained aesthetic that runs throughout the series.

Together, the team presents a considered study of identity as something shaped, observed, and continuously remade.
