The dark carnival: Claudia De Giorgis

In a fog-shrouded forest, five young individuals embark on an underground photoshoot inspired by Bakhtin's theories of the carnivalesque. - a symbol of the grotesque and the fusion of human and animal.
Through enigmatic shots, the group explores the boundaries between beauty and monstrosity.
Dressed in black and white, the models move through the forest shadows, interacting with mysterious horses, leaving an indelible mark on their essence. Each photograph is a journey into the depths of the grotesque body, where nature and humanity merge in a carnival of forms and colors.
The film is an homage to Bakhtin's concept of the body as a site of transformation and rebirth, where laughter and the grotesque become instruments of liberation and revelation.
