Sex? In This Economy? Editorial on Desire, Labour and Power

In a digital world where everything moves at a dizzying pace, contrasts become impossible to ignore: hypersexualization coexists with the return of conservatism, constant exposure blends with deep isolation, and extreme consumerism collides with an undeniable economic crisis.

Amid so many contradictions, desire fades, eroticism transforms, and sex —that old engine of humanity— becomes more ambiguous than ever. Where does eroticism stand now? What is sex today? What place does the body occupy when everything is filtered, shared, and measured in pixels?

SEX?? IN THIS ECONOMY?? dares to explore these questions fearlessly, with humor and irreverence.

We mock the imposed present with uncomfortable eroticism and, of course: FASHION.
