KARYATIDES
Karyatides are the pillars that support Erecheion in Acropolis.
In reality, they were young virgin girls that served Artemis, the goddess of hunting. They had long hair and a body like a statue. On Artemis feasts they danced rhythmically to the music of the flute.
Their beauty was depicted in columns that supported majestic buildings all over Greece. You can now see most of the Karyatides at the Museum of Acropolis and one of them at the British Museum.
On the 21st of May 2021, two of those girls came to life and agreed to have their pictures taken by an aspiring photographer called Christos.
This was a miracle of Artemis reported in modern times.
