MOON // AUTISM ISSUE
I was diagnosed with Autism when I was 13. I have always been a little "weird" (and I embrace this now), but in the beginning before the diagnosis and directly after I had a lot of difficulties in social situations. I would become easily obsessed with an idea, and I often couldn't move past it without a lot of work. I have pushed people out of my life in the past because I couldn't see beyond that obsession to recognise the other person's interests and needs.
While I still struggle with this, I have found a healthier way to direct this behaviour into my art, and I have built relationships with other creatives along the way. I think my art probably reflects my obsessive nature, and yeah, it's a little weird--but I'm proud of where it comes from.
